Our story
IT STARTED WITH
Most Kilimanjaro bookings pass through three or four hands before they reach the people who actually walk up the mountain. An overseas agency sells the trip, a wholesaler packages it, a local operator delivers it — and the crew at the bottom of that chain sees the smallest share of what you paid.
KissRock exists to cut that chain out. We are the operator and the guides. When you pay us, the money goes to permits, food, equipment and the wages of the people carrying your tent.
That is also why our prices look lower than an overseas agency quoting the same itinerary. Same mountain, better treated porters. You are simply not paying for the middle.

Ethics
HOW WE TREAT
KPAP — the Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project — audits operators on porter treatment. We comply because the alternative is indefensible.
Fair Wages, Paid Directly
Porter wages meet or exceed the KPAP recommended rate, paid in full and directly, never through a third party.
Three Proper Meals A Day
Our crew eat the same cooked food you do, three times a day. On this mountain that is not a given.
Warm Gear Issued At The Gate
Every porter is issued a jacket, boots and sleeping bag before the climb. Nobody goes up in sandals.
Hard 15kg Load Cap
Weighed at the gate and enforced. If your bag is over, it stays behind in storage.
